Stolen BLACK SABBATH Gold Discs Returned
December 22, 2004Scotsman.com is reporting that stolen gold and silver discs won by Ozzy Osbourne's band BLACK SABBATH have been returned after thieves had an apparent attack of Christmas spirit.
The discs were reported missing last week following a burglary at the home of Ozzy's former manager Patrick Meehan in Edenbridge, Kent.
Kent Police said today that an anonymous tip-off had led to all eight being found in plastic bags behind recycling bins in Tonbridge.
Two other discs from the haul — which included the albums "Master of Reality", "Paranoid" and "Volume 4" — had already been recovered after they were offered for sale on eBay.
A spokeswoman for Kent Police said Mr. Meehan was “very pleased”, but a black 12-string guitar and other property taken during the raid had yet to turn up.
Osbourne, who shot to fame with the heavy metal band in the 1970s, grappled with a burglar who stole jewellery worth more than £2million from his Buckinghamshire mansion last month.
